International mural painting competition

The School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA) at the University of Zaragoza, in collaboration with the Polish Institute of Culture and the Polonika Institute, invites you to be part of a unique artistic project. This competition aims to create a mural that interprets the connection between Zaragoza, literature, cinema, and architecture, inspired by the film "The Saragossa Manuscript" (Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie), directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has and based on the novel by Jan Potocki.

Important Dates:

Submission deadline: September 17, 2025
Winner announcement: by October 24, 2025
Mural unveiling and exhibition: by December 5, 2025

Prizes:

First Prize: €2000 (the mural will be created and displayed on the façade)
Second Prize: €700
Third Prize: €300
